Harris Companies worked with Algaedyne Corporation to design and build six photo-bioreactors based on the patent-pending technology developed by Algaedyne’s chief scientist, Toby Kinkaid. The six bioreactors were delivered to Woodbine, NJ where they will act as a pilot plant and research center for Garden State Ethanol. Garden state intends to build a $200 million biofuels plant to convert algae into ethanol and biodiesel. Harris Companies has a long history of involvement in the renewable energy and biofuels industry. This is just the latest example of a successful partnership. Beyond developing research equipment for the industry, Algaedyne and Harris have begun operating a pilot plant to prove out the patent pending technology outside the lab.
